Wat Tha Ga Rong

Wat Tha Ga Rong is somewhere we visited when we went to Ayutthaya. 

This is certainly an interesting place to visit

 

Please dress appropriately

If you are in Thailand and are visiting a Wat please dress appropriately.

Pooch Cafe (closed)

We enjoyed our visit to the Pooch Cafe but unfortunately as I read this I find that it has been permanently closed.

We enjoyed it - it was a little bland in terms of design.

We liked the coffee cups.

I loved the logo because I did not see it first time.

Paperwork for my visa

I have to declare that I was happily surprised by the wonderful quality of the staff that gave me a re-entry visa when I left Bangkok...

Mon Cham Viewpoint

We have taken various trips to Chiang Mai and this one I 2016 and 2019 we enjoyed going here both times.

The last time that we stopped here we had scones, jam and cream - not the most Thai dish but it was a pleasure to be here again.

Watching the clouds come close was wonderful.

The girls took a ride on the go-karts nearby and we parked halfway up the hill - I have to admit to being a little worried about a couple of the dogs following me though.

Certainly a place to go if you want to take photographs - Jemma was happy that we found some butterflies here. Here's a video.

You could go camping nearby if you wanted to.

  

Angkor Wat (Cambodia)

One place we were eager to visit was Angkor Wat when we visited Cambodia.

An early start and we saw that it was also somewhere popular or other people to visit. Wow - it was vey busy here and the sun rises at different places which are dependent on the month of the year.

It is certainly somewhere to visit if you are in Cambodia.

Then there are other temples which you can enter.

A lovely place to visit.

Nancy Chandler

Nancy Chandler is a wonderful company is closing in Bangkok in 2019, they produced a wonderful selection of maps and informative bits and pieces which were / are a pleasure to have had when I first came to Bangkok in 1983 and the digital copies in 2019.
