Wat Phitchaya Yatikaram วัดพิชยญาติการาม (Bangkok)

Wat Phitchaya Yatikaram วัดพิชยญาติการาม is something that I came upon upon on a Walking Tour in Bangkok - Thonburi. It is a large Wat with a number of entrances and a

number of displays to which I was used to -

apart from this one.

"While hundreds of tourists flock to the famous Wat Pho and Wat Arun, almost no one goes to Wat Phitchaya Yatikaram at Khlong San area. This stunning temple has beautiful gardens, ornate pagodas and a shinning interior. There is no official record of when the temple was built, but probably when Ayutthaya was the capital of Siam and that area was used as the main port of region. Back in the 18th century the temple was restored and became a peaceful oasis in a fast-growing city. Most of the travelers don’t explore the western side of Chao Phraya River and they are missing a whole interesting world packed with local experiences and amazing places."
