'Phuket Green Day' 1st April

If you are in Phuket then it would be good for you to help them cleanup the island for the day. Here's some more information.

The Phuket Hotel Association will also be taking part so I imagine staff from hotels will be going to help.

Hua Takhe Old Market ลาดกระบัง (Lat Krabang)

What an incredible find - and just near Suvarnabhumi Airport and we will certainly go again.

Some of the market is located directly alongside Prawet Burirom.

Then there was the number of places which are linked directly to art and it is not on the side of the street.

I did not expect to see Bart Simpson hiding behind a 'Spirit House'.

I wonder what the crocodile meant.

And the crocodile was here again - looking a lot more angry though!

And this crocodile just seemed to be having fun over another?

There was a great number of places where you could have something to eat.

Then we went shopping.

Almost purchased one of these to make in the classroom but I didn't know what I would be teaching next year.

I wonder what this was supposed to represent or was that not relevant - nobody sat down OR was that part of the painting?

Found a Cafe with the paintings hung on the wall.

But we chose this one.

After the coffee we visited more - 'art locations'.

But that was enough for one day.

On the way back we came across this and I had no idea why this would be put out - history perhaps?

Surprised to see a motorbike on the walkway though...

Chatuchak Weekend Market (BKK) Visit 4

So how many times have we visited Chatuchak Weekend Market?

Every time we go we see more different things for sale and we go quite often.

The last time we went (2020) they were adding more controlled dining - I imagine that these are very quiet at the moment though?

What these singers had to do with the plates that were on sale I don't know?

But there are always a lot of cuddly toys.

But I wonder who was going to buy this? If I was younger it might have been me!

"Chatuchak Market is open on Saturdays and Sundays, 09:00 – 18:00, and Fridays 18:00 – 24:00. You can get to Chatuchak Market by the sky train (BTS) to Mo Chit Station and taking exit no.1 and follow the crowd until you see a small entrance to the market. Another way to get to the market is by taking the subway (MRT) to Chatuchak Park Station take exit no.1 and then following the crowd until you see a small entrance to the market. Moreover, you can take taxis, buses and vans to get to Chatuchak Market or if you are driving to the market, you can park your cars at Chatuchak Park Ride and they have convenient shuttle buses between the parking lots and Chatuchak Market."

Mr Tim goes to hospital

Gosh if I counted up the number of times that I have been to hospital in Thailand... then again I have been in Thailand since '2000'.

So I received immaculate care again this time it was Theptarin Hospital.

Dasa Book Cafe is somewhere that I have visited more than once and have purchased a great number of used books there! So for people who have a need for a book whilst they are here and do not mind reading a used book then this is the place to visit.
