Benchakitti Park

We needed to go somewhere for  a walk.

We chose Benchakitti Park.

There was an enormous lake to walk around.

There was also a sky walk

and it was not very busy.

This visit was in February 2022

ช.หมูแดง หมูกรอบ (BKK) Visit 1

This was a roadside restaurant that we passed on the way home from
Happy and Healthy Bike Lane.

We took the food as take away.

And ate it when we got home.

Wow - it was spicy!!

วัดเขาอ้อ l Wat Khao Aor (Phatthalung)

Wat Khao Aor in Phatthalung was another Wat to visit

BUT this one was very special because there was also a cave to descend into!

Wat Khao Aor (วัดเขาอ้อ)

in Amphoe KhuanKhanun. Before becoming a Temple, it was considered to be a centre of learning, called the ThisaPamok School that was similar toTakkasila in India, presumably founded before 857 by Brahmins from India during the age of “Dravidian Yatra”, which is the time that the Brahmins expanded the religious belief from India. This place was famous for supernaturalpowers and ancient medicine, especially, related toWan, an herbal plant; later there wasa Wandipping ritual and manyother forms of black magic until it became well-known nationwide as a place that had inherited the magic and spells for invulnerability until today.  At present, the“Follow the path of the Lord Buddha, Follow a trace of the ritual of Khao O House” Festival takes place annually. Text from Amazing Thailand

But there was very little more to find - we visited here because my beautiful Thai wife used to live here.

Certainly worth visiting if you are in the area.

Wat Chaeng Lam Hin (Visit 1)

Wat Chaeng Lam Hin is adjacent to Wat Phachum Rat and seems to be bigger in area and next to a khlong.

But what sets it aside first is the enormous Golden Buddha near the entrance.

And it is certainly worth getting a little closer to it.

You can walk up to it.

There are shrines along the edge of the khlong.

And a row of Golden monks.

And a protector which I usually see in a Chinese Shrine.

A beautiful place and there was so much more.

Going on a Walk (Walk 3)

The man selling coconuts was not there but I understand that you can purchase them using the QR code?

Chong Heng Cafe was open.

I was surprised by the amount of bicycles this morning!

The lady at the top of the Soi was making her coffee.

Rabika coffee was open.

Building of the MRT was continuing
(November 2021).

Not sure what is happening in the khlong?

Do you like Durian?

Food Panda were making a delivery.

Merry Christmas from Paseo.

Shops closed because of COVID.

A cup of tea perhaps?

Would you wear these shoes?

And then a short walk home.
