Wat Chai Watthanaram (Ayutthaya) (Part 1 of 2)

Wat Chai Watthanaram was a wonderful place to visit and there was so much history to investigate.

Wat Chaiwatthanaram (Thaiวัดไชยวัฒนาราม) is a Buddhist temple in the city of Ayutthaya Historical ParkThailand, on the west bank of the Chao Phraya River, outside Ayutthaya island. It is one of Ayutthaya's best known temples and a major tourist attraction.

Wat Chaiwatthanaram lies on the west bank of Chao Phraya River, south west of the old city of Ayutthaya. It is a large compound part of Ayutthaya Historical Park; however not a part of Historic City of Ayutthaya, a UNESCO World Heritage Site. It can be reached by road or by boat.

Wat Chai Watthanaram was close to the road that were taking back to Bangkok.

A popular thing to do was to rent old clothes and have your photograph taken there - we didn't.

The older environment was wonderful - I took so many photographs.

I could not stop...

Inside here was a special Buddha.

I was careful not to abuse anything.

The walls held even more to find.

Super and beautiful.
