Wat Paknam Khaem Nu - Visit 2

We took an early trip to
(sometimes I see it called The Blue Temple).

And once you are there you understand why.

There are a lot of tourists but mostly Thai...
Here's our trips in July 2020;

Wat Rakhang Thong (2/2) (@Rayong)

Up a very steep hill to the top...

Watch out for the animals...

An interesting place...

If you are near there then make an effort to go.

Here's our trips in July 2020;

Wat Rakhang Thong (Visit 2)

Wat Rakhang Thong in Rayong is somewhere we visited which words cannot explain.

It was amazing.

Beautiful and cared for BUT there was nobody there

except all the monkeys

a very special place.

Wat Tham Khao Thong (1/2) (@Rayong)

Wat Tham Khao Thong in Rayong was a Wat that needed some repair at the very top.

BUT there was a plethora of monkeys at the bottom of the hill.

I could find very little in English about this special place.

BUT if you are near there then make an effort to go.

Here's our visits;

Wat Taphong Nok (@Rayong)

I had business in Rayong and found somewhere special to visit - Wat Taphong Nok.

I could find very little about this Buddhist construction anywhere - I think it must be linked to another Wat nearby.

The Buddhist Structure was in the middle of the road.

Morakot Mae Phim Shrine / เสด็จแม่พิมพ์ (@Rayong)

Morakot Mae Phim Shrine เสด็จแม่พิมพ์ in Rayong was a beautiful surprise - and so close to the sea!

On looking for further information I found

There must have been a reason that it was so close to the water - I imagine that the shrine had been flooded?

There was plenty of sand and water and not one single person.

Then the rest of the temple was just
as tradition dictates.

The family were happy - which made me smile.
