Zips

Have you ever had a zip on the pocket of a
 pair of shorts?

Motorbikes and their direction

It was a very busy drive home one day.

And I noticed that there were a lot of

people on their motorbike going the
wrong direction on the road.

Motorbikes are everywhere

Why does this man riding the motorbike have ears?

This looks like Grab delivering breakfast - I am out for a morning coffee.

How many gas cylinders can they carry before it become dangerous?

This is the winner for the best box on the back of the bike - Grab.

Some are able to sleep on the back of their motorbikes.

We have one carrying fruit and vegetables on our Soi - Ramkhamhaeng 76.

Through the Window - wrong side - Post 3

I think that I have lived here too long to recognise that a motorbike is travelling in the wrong direction on the road.

And the other is travelling in the same direction but on the pavement.

Gas tanks on a motorbike

Do you think there is a limit to the amount of gas tanks
a motorbike can carry?

October - You know you have lived in Thailand when...

There are a variety of ATM around and they are able to be used in other languages but using 'Fast Cash' presses less buttons and I make less mistakes - trying to get a card back is not easy...

After moving to Bangkok I have become aware of things which are now normal to me because I live here – and subsequently a facebook site about this
“You Know You've Lived In Thailand when.....” – https://www.facebook.com/groups/YouKnowYouveLivedinThailandwhen/
so once a month I will contribute to this.

The Paris Accord

Well let's have a look at both views of America leaving the agreement

A pleasure to see a Government take a stand on Social Media (Twitter).
Let's see.

90 Day Visa check

A regular visit that I have to make to the Phuket Immigration Office. Things change each time I go and there are some pieces of paper which I must fill in but it is running smoothly. I remember my papers and always wai before I sit down.

Then I saw the sign above and wondered where I had seen something similar and it is to some of the Temples for respect. Which I entirely understand and this is a Government building so I would assume that you would also dress correctly.

Then a guy walks up to someone else for a pen and he has no shoes on and is wearing a dirty vest - no comment.

Dress appropriately in Buddhist Temples.

I recently read about Angor Wat in Cambodia and tourists being instructed to dress correctly (nude photographs).

August the 4th

Then I remember visiting Wat Suwankhuha recently and seeing this poster - my review will come here - here's Jamie's.

Then there's the sign on Wat Naka on Rang Hill...

I hope that this will work.

Dog in a drain and dirty tricks

Some money was raised to rescue a dog - thank you for all of the money and the people's generosity.

BUT then I read that the company that rescued the dog did not receive the money from that source - confused?

I am

The Society for the Promotion of Animals under Royal Patronage indicate that they rescued the dog
BUT
the Voice Foundation for Animals also say they did.

I suppose I should not worry - the dog is safe - but where's all the money?

Pokemon Go in Phuket

Whilst visiting Bangkok recently I understood the attention that the media has been going Pokemon Go!

image from the Bangkok Post
In Bangkok there were people playing this game everywhere.

Then seeing the sign for the Metro really made it clear "Be careful on the Train Platform". Does this mean that there have been accidents?

Then we went to Hua Hin and saw more people playing the same game!

Then there are articles in the newspapers - articles from the Bangkok Post. Since then I did download the App again but am still confused (but I am Level 5).

and late at night...

Ice or no ice?

Recently I posted about someone wanting to sue Starbucks because it put ice in the drinks. Which was countered by Starbucks saying that they will do what the person asks for and if they do not want ice they will not put it in....

BUT here in Thailand - they will charge you more if you do not want ice...

Apple, Starbucks and Phuket Tour Guides

I do not write this normally but recently I am surprised that I keep reading this - so what is the link.

If you do not want an Apple computer and it's restrictions DO NOT buy one!

If you do not like Starbucks then DO NOT go there!

If you do not like the law governing work in Thailand then DO NOT go there!

Rant of the Day over...
