Zeez - Visit 8 (closed 2022)

The blind on the side of the restaurant may still be working for the staff but it is looking a little faded - however in these times....

The other side is their kitchen.

The food was very good again.

The Bone Bed (Kay Scarpetta #20) by Patricia Cornwell

A woman has vanished while digging a dinosaur bone bed in the remote wilderness of Canada. Somehow, the only evidence has made its way to the inbox of Chief Medical Examiner Kay Scarpetta, over two thousand miles away in Boston. She has no idea why. But as events unfold with alarming speed, Scarpetta begins to suspect that the paleontologist’s disappearance is connected to a series of crimes much closer to home: a gruesome murder, inexplicable tortures, and trace evidence from the last living creatures of the dinosaur age.

When she turns to those around her, Scarpetta finds that the danger and suspicion have penetrated even her closest circles. Her niece Lucy speaks in riddles. Her lead investigator, Pete Marino, and FBI forensic psychologist and husband, Benton Wesley, have secrets of their own. Feeling alone and betrayed, Scarpetta is tempted by someone from her past as she tracks a killer both cunning and cruel.

This is Kay Scarpetta as you have never seen her before. The Bone Bed is a must read for any fan of this series, or an ideal starting point for new readers

I gave the book 4 out of 5 and read this in

December 2021

Tanyapat & Anyawee (Ramkhamhaeng 76) - Visit 10

This is the cafe for a hot cappuccino.

The staff know what I what and it is always worth taking the time to sit down behind the ivy!

There are also other options for street coffee on the same Ramkhamhaeng 76.

Instagram, Pinterest and me

Well I try to post an Instagram a day here - I am TiminBangkok.

Pinterest.
If I remember...

Wat Lat Bua Khao

We went on my birthday to ask for help during this difficult time.

We crawled underneath the monk in the boat.

Well worth visiting.

Saraburi - Wat Phra Phutthabat

Wat Phra Phutthabat in Saraburi was a very special find.

I have to add that the more I read about this temple the more that I did not see - for example there was a 'Buddha footprint' in the temple that I did not find.

Maybe it was because I was taken with the Reclining Buddha which we found in the cave!

It was special.

There was a great deal more to explore but we did not because it was not clear where to go.

The steps were steep and it was worth every step to visit here.

King Power Mahanakhon SkyWalk

When we visited King Power Mahanakhon SkyWalk I took a plethora of photographs!

Even at the bottom.

This was the elevator up.

You could see a long way in the distance

and the you could go on the SkyWalk.

Then there was a bar and I watched the sun setting.
