Wat Bang Peng Tai - Visit 4

Wat Bang Peng Tai is a Wat we have visited previously because after living in Thailand for twenty years there is a value in going to a Temple to pay Respect.

On looking a the map however I can see that there is a khlong which runs alongside it and next to this is Kwan-Riam Floating Market which I have not visited.

Apparently the Wat is split into two parts but I was unable to discern where this started and began.

I did wonder why there were dinosaurs in the Wat - the Bison are regular guests but the dinosaurs I have found rarely.

You can take a bridge over the khlong or you can walk alongside.

I am surprised that I do not see more people here.

Wat Bang Peng Tai & Wat Bumpen Nua

I am always taken with the decoration around

 the name of the Wat. 

Wat Bumpen Nua is across the Khlong from Wat Bang Peng Tai.  I have confused some pictures.

Here's the bridge between them both.

The decoration over the other side is more traditional.

With a standing golden Buddha.

But when I found the name plaque of the temple there was also some modern decoration.

This visit was in March 2022.

Wat Bang Peng Tai - Visit 7 (2/2)

Wat Bang Peng Tai and Wat Bumpen Nua are on opposite sides of the river and are close to the 

floating market.

- look carefully at the maps below and above.

People were releasing food into the river.

Candy floss was on sale in the car park.

There was a small white Chedi.

And you can cross the khlong to get to 

Wat Bumpen Nua.

There were a number of statues.

Wat Bang Peng Tai - Visit 5

Wat Bang Peng Tai is a Wat next to the khlong.

I had thought that it would be busier than it actually was but it isn't.

There was nobody there when I visited and wandered about - this visit was in December 2021.

There were people in the car park though 

and food was being sold.

Wat Bang Peng Tai - Visit 3 (1/2)

Wat Bang Peng Tai is a Wat which we have 

visited a number of times and I feel that it 

is a special place to visit.

There are a number of temples inside the whole complex and in each one there is something different.

I am always taken with Wat Bang Peng Tai.

So much to see...

We could keep going back...
