As we drove into Phuket Town last Sunday we were hardly surprised when we saw a lot of people crowded around the ditch on the side of the road.
We carefully made our way round the mass of people and my morbid curiosity got the better of me as I stretched my neck to have a look at the dead bodies.
What I did see was thousands of 'Mangrove Crabs' - sour crabs / pu preaw - making the short trip into the Phuket Mangrove Development Station to lay their eggs.
Phuket is certainly a fascinating place.
