Greyhound Cafe (FashionIsland) (BKK)

Greyhound Cafe @ Fashion Island is somewhere which we found convenient because the Thai and Western food is very nice and we go shopping to Fashion Island.

On writing this I found that it is actually a big franchise with
outlets outside of Thailand as well.

We have not been disappointed.

Discarded books

Saw some books discarded by the side of the road...

Tanyapat & Anyawaee (Ramkhamhaeng 76) (BKK) Visit 17 quiet

It was a very quiet morning today.

I got to the cafe and there was nobody there at all - it was empty and quiet.

BUT there is very little else to do so I sat and waited and I was soon looked after.

The coffee has improved quite remarkably - I think that I have been here three days in a row recently.

There are also other options for street coffee on the same Ramkhamhaeng 76

1) Tanyapat & Anyawee

2) Chong Heng ชงเฮง ชาโบราณ

3) Street Coffee (Ramkhamhaeng 76)

4) Rabika Coffee

Museum of Nonthaburi

The colour of the white word and the missing letter on the board did not give me much hope. The Museum of Nonthaburi was somewhere we visited when we were travelling the river.

The Museum of Nonthaburi displays the history of Nonthaburi province, her people and the way of life, culture, arts and craft in a historical building to preserve the heritage of a very old province established in 1548.

The museum, which opened on 15 September 2009, is near the Nonthaburi pier, the terminal pier of the Chao Phraya river boats that’s just north of Bangkok.

It’s located in part of an old building with a long history. The building is now a national heritage in the process of conservation.

The interior of the section housing the museum has been renovated. It’s extremely well organized with elaborate displays that are well laid out and illustrated by signs in English and Thai.

I could find no information whist I was there that was in English - but here are some images.

I thought it was a lovely idea that they told us what was currently happening at the museum - a shame about the spelling mistake (I am always a teacher).

We were on the side of the Chao Phraya river which mean that there was a lot of trade over and onto the water.

They used technology (QR Codes)for more information - a shame for me that it was only in Thai.

Thought about having a Singha later.

Into the museum and we learnt about all the clay pottery that was made (and still is) in Nonthaburi.

A lovely place to visit.

Ramkhamhaeng 76 Walk 14

This walk was taking place in December 2021 - they were testing for COVID here...

The food was out on sale.

The street coffee lady was open.

Not sure what they are building here - but it is taking a long time -
MRT perhaps?

Zeez was open for lunch - but I was early today.

Nobody on the khlong this morning.

But Chong Heng Cafe was open today.

The Axeman's Jazz

Wow - this was quite a disturbing story
- worth reading again!

Kuang Si Waterfall (Laos)

Kuang Si Waterfall in Laos was a wonderful place to visit.

Initially it was peaceful.

Then lots of people arrived.

I was surprised that there were a lot of no entry signs but they were ignored.
Then there seemed to be a big trip arriving.

Beautiful.
