วัดแสนสุข OR Wat Saensuk

Wat Saensuk is alongside a major khlong in Bangkok so it can be reached by water.

Reminding me that I used to commute to Bangkok each morning by boat...

There is also a school next to it so it can be busy during school time - we visited at the weekend and it was very quiet.

Even the monk was resting

and the cat was comfortable.

The entrance is very large

and you can see the Wat from a distance.

There were a great many buildings - all well taken care of.

This was one of those buildings - then my wife pointed out that this where the bodies were burnt....

It was certainly worth walking around the large area which was the Wat - and you can cross the road to see more.

Not sure why the roots of the tree were wrapped - maybe they were going to be planted somewhere specific?

Certainly worth visiting more than once - there was so much to see.
