When a gangster shows up in his backyard with a tip about a murder, a detective is forced to decide whether to side with law and order or righteousness as he hunts a killer…
Detective Ash Rashid believes in the importance of his work, but he recognizes the toll it’s taken on his wife and family. After twelve years in law enforcement, he’s done. He wants out.
Then a gangster gives him a tip about a case.
A young woman died in front of her home, orphaning her daughter. She was targeted. Murdered. Run down as she walked home from the bus stop. What’s worse, his department doesn’t seem to care. They claim to have investigated, but Ash wouldn’t call their actions an investigation.
He dives into the case and becomes entangled in a web of election-year politics, crime, and street justice. Unknowingly, Ash fell into the open ocean and found the sharks. To survive, he has to learn to swim. If he doesn’t, his hit-and-run victim will only be the first person to die.
