A selfie with a crocodile?
Okay now I think that this is a little dangerous - a crocodile selfie?
I was not allowed out of the car when an elephant passed us in Khao Yai.
I kept the windows shut on Telegraph Hill in Phuket town so that the
monkeys did not get in!
Thai Deserts
Some Thai Deserts are worth trying BUT they are not for everyone.
Here is my first investigation.

Makha Bucha Day (@Phuket)
Wat Chalong was were we went to celebrate
Makha Bucha Day.
"The Buddhist holiday of Sangha Day is called Makha Bucha Day in Thailand. It is observed in Thailand on the full moon of the third lunar month, which is usually the end of February or early March. In most other parts of Asia, Buddhist observe Sangha Day about a month later.
Sangha Day commemorates a day when 1,250 monks, all from different places and on their on initiative, spontaneously came to pay homage to the historical Buddha.
In Pali, Makha is the name of the third lunar month, and Bucha means "to venerate." On this day, Thai Buddhists gather at sunset in their local temples to participate in candlelight processions called Wian Tian. Ceremonies express appreciation for the order of monks founded by the Buddha and for the Three Jewels -- the Buddha, the Dharma, the Sangha."
This text is from About.com - Buddhism.
It was surprisingly busy and I can't remember how many times we had been but I can't remember when the flames ignited !
Always something to do...

J.K.Rowling, Winston Churchill and Trump - a connection?
So J.K.Rowling (writer of Harry Potter) has spoken out against Trump on Twitter...
And there was a backlash about burning her books...
What is happening?
So I looked and found a fabulous quote which Churchill made...
Phuket Old Town Festival 2017
Phuket Old Town Festival was a lot of fun for us - it always is.
It is essentially a celebration of what makes Phuket and that is everything. So that is everything...
I don't know how much we ate whilst we were there but it was all great - we loved the shaved ice.
We loved the sculpted candy floss.
Not sure I should have looked inside the machine...
Then there were the violins playing...
This made me laugh and wondered whether I should buy it...
Then there was the toy Vespa...
Then there were the usual nibbles.
But we had these instead - delicious.

And the chalk drawing continued
until it was time to have dinner at Kopitiam and then go home....

Phuket Old Town Festival 2017
Phuket Old Town Festival is something that I have always like to visit - 2015, 2014, 2013 and 2012.
Fancy a ride on a rickshaw? Go to the Limelight area...
I hope to make another visit - see you there...
The bus from the airport
So does this really work - I have seen the metered taxi ranks in Phuket Town that are not used?
So what do you expect?
Alarm bells ring - I am wrong, sorry, fabulous service - but not sure if I would bank on it being there if I had lots of luggage and children and it might not be going near to where you would like to go?
Do and Don't for Thai Dining
This is certainly necessary if you are here in Thailand and want to make a good impression.

The Enigma returns in the night...
The Enigma was spotted of the beach at Cape Panwa Hotel and Spa - all be it very briefly. There certainly is a tale behind this super yacht.
LEGO Advent Calendar
This was a very popular Christmas gift in our house this year - coming very close to
Series 2 of Scorpion.
Thank you - but no instructions...
