BKK101 - August

What can you do if you are visiting Bangkok?

One of the best things to read is Bangkok101 - https://www.bangkok101.com

Amongst other things it tells you what is happening this month - https://www.bangkok101.com/whats-on-in-august/

The edition this month focuses on Chefs and I must make a visit to Jay Fai - https://www.bangkok101.com/an-interview-with-jay-fai/.

Coffee Beans by Dao (@CentralWorld) (BKK) - Visit ?

We just had to go again. This time we had lunch and it was wonderful - I do not know what more I can add to my previous reviews...

The starter with the salad in the coconut cream was wonderful.

Then came the deep fried fish - another wonderful creation.

Then the pièce de résistance - the cakes.

And the coffee was a wonderful accompaniment.

Thank you again for another fabulous lunch.

Street Art in the making

After trying the Bangkok Walk 6 (and failing miserably) getting lost around the enormous intersection  of north Sanamluang I returned to work on the River Taxi.

I was pleased to see some way spraying near Yelo House.

A lot of fun and it does add a splash of colour to a very drab route - what do you think?

Strange how only a week previous to this I saw signs up indicating that the walls were Private Property and not to be painted on... #TIT.

I shall have to return this week to see whether this has been finished.

August - You know you have lived in Thailand when.....

When the motorbike driver hands you a helmet to put on - because that means that there are police doing a check and they are helping you.

After moving to Bangkok I have become aware of things which are now normal to me because I live here – and subsequently a facebook site about this “You Know You've Lived In Thailand when.....” – https://www.facebook.com/groups/YouKnowYouveLivedinThailandwhen/
so once a month I will contribute to this.
