泰京天華慈善 - Thian Fah Foundation (Somewhere to go) (BKK) Visit 1

One stop that I made when I was doing on the way to ChinaTown (one of the TAT Walking Routes in Bangkok) I stopped at the Thian Fah Foundation Hospital where I briefly stopped.

The Hospital has been here in Chinatown for over 100 years and is still developing and helping people.

But it was tucked to one side and the shrine was immediately an attraction.

It was only once I watched people that noticed many of them visiting the shrine and then the hospital or the other way around.

Chasengcho day out

We recently had a day out to Chasengcho - driving past a number of rice fields.

The trip stated for me with an extremely strong coffee from 7eleven.

The next was a stop at the ตลาดสดวัดโสธร market

to buy some 100 eggs - the market was very busy and they were offering free tastes of some of the food, not that I tried any mind you...

to make a gift at Wat Sothon Wararam WorawihanWat Sothon Waram Worawihan was certainly wonderful but there were tiles falling from the main roof...

AND they have moved the old temple away from it's original position. (Travelfish Review)

Time for some dinner at บ้านไม้ริมน้ำ and whilst we were waiting I visited the Chinese Shrine next door to the river.

Following dinner was coffee at Thanam Cafe

Chao Phu Kuan U (Somewhere to go) (BKK) Visit ?

Chao Phu Kuan U is a Chinese Shrine

which I had glimpsed as we drove away from home and to the school.

What a wonderful place to find and a wonderful local community.

Thank you for your hospitality at the shrine and it's local area.

Wat Phra Dhammakaya

Wat Phra Dhammakaya is also known as Dhammakaya Cetiya พระมหาธรรมกายเจดีย์ and more commonly 'the spaceship'.

We drove near here when we had a weekend in Saraburi - we did have some questions when we visited - purely because of the publicity surrounding here.

It was built in the late 1970's and here is Wat Phra Dhammakaya's history.

We were surprised that there was less information for us when we entered the area - we simply drove around the building, we think we found the car park but it was not clear where we were supposed to go to visit - so we left.

It is a controversial place to visit I read... allegedly owned by a cult...

Baby Dugong and Plastic

Unfortunately the baby dugong died because of plastic ingestion....

Thank you to Richard Barrow for sharing from KhaosodEnglish.com.

Baan Kudichin Museum

Baan Kudichin Museum is something that I came upon upon on a Walking Tour in Bangkok - Thonburi and is in the Ancient Portuguese Area in Bangkok.

This was somewhere which we were luck enough to find because we had the map that they had in the cafe!

It was certainly down some twisty thin lanes...

And by the time I got there I was glad that there was a coffee shop and over sitting in this tiny oasis - we had a short look in the very small museum but we intended to go again - it was interesting to us but I don't think it would be for everybody.

Khun Dan Prakan Chon Dam (Nakhon Nayok) Part 1 of 2

Khun Dan Prakan Chon Dam was somewhere we came across on our visit the Nakhon Nayok

- we took a boat from here. Always interesting.

And here's the Dual prices. We took a trip out onto the lake which the dam fed into.

Then we entered the adjacent forests.

And wow the waterfall was quite beautiful.

Taking a boat with the locals was great and we met nobody else on our trip - it really was quite beautiful!

We visited Nakhon Nayok to see this Dam.

Australia 2019 (2nd Visit)

We were welcomed to my parents home

by some birds

and a beautiful view.

Then the kangaroos came for dinner.

Guess I have to go to the church to know more but I stayed visiting all of the OP shops instead...

We visited the Fortitude Brewery for lunch when we visited.

Visited a MacDonalds - but I could not use the App because it is only for Aussie.

Wow the Air Quality Index is very good!!!

The view was great but the water was too cold...
