Kathu Street Festival

This year was the 4th Kathu Street Festival and I understand that it was started to promote the share the interesting things that are in Kathu and it is certainly a Festival that is not worth missing (2011 and 2010).

Unfortunately I missed the beginning it because I was a celebrant at a wedding so I missed the beginning - Jamie's blog is the best to visit if you want to see the colours and the beauty of the opening day.

I arrived for the last evening but there was still so much to investigate. I visited two of  the Chinese Shrines and they are always full of interesting things to look at - but this time there was something else going on outside a shrine...

Then out came the statues, the breakdancers and more...

There was so much to buy

and so much to eat...

so many happy people to share the night, young artists, traditional games played, 

and the show was great to watch.
