Ramkhamhaeng - Monks & making merit - Walk 9

I was off to get my morning coffee and was happy with the amount of other people on the street - making merit and giving gifts to the Monks.

A lot of stalls were open today with things to
 buy for the monks.

All along the road there were monks - I do feel lucky to live here with my beautiful family. I went for my coffee and then went home and my wife and we made merit together...

Thailand is a very special country - this visit was in April 2022.

Ramkhamhaeng 76 - Monk - Walk 667 (1/2)

A monk was walking the Soi this morning -
I was early today!

The Food & Ice truck was out this morning...

What was this?

Ramkhamhaeng 76 - Monks and making merit - Walk ?

Not every time I go for a coffee in the Soi
do I get to see monks.

But it is always special when I do.

Thank you.

Ramkhamhaeng 76 - Monks - Walk 6

I usually take a street coffee on the same  Ramkhamhaeng 76 each day but today was different - there were people on the Soi waiting for two monks to come past.

I got my coffee and waited for the monks - here is where I could get a garland. The man sometimes takes me to school on his motorbike.

Remembering to take off my shoes.

The monks blessed the ladies

and then the blessed water was poured into a plant. I was surprised when they stopped in front of me - I was glad that I had some money that I was able to give them.

Thailand is a very special country - this visit was in December 2021.
