Car on my back side?

Arriving at  Bangkok Airport I was greeted with a plethora of metered taxis - which is very different from my greeting at Phuket Airport - but that is another story.

I slipped into the back seat to enjoy my journey and
I wondered whether the sign was meant;

       1) for the driver in the front OR 2) something I do not understand?

  1. Hmmm, if I understood that sign correctly, it means that you should be aware of the cars behind you. I’m assuming that’s because the parking area of the airport has cars situated across each other, making it possible for one car to bump into another while backing up. Well, that’s just how I understood it.
